Question by tpowers55: I installed Exchange 2003 with Active Directory. I activated IMAP but only my admin acct works..?
I cannot seem to figure out why my personal account (a domain admin) and the administrator account on the domain can do IMAP but all my users cannot. Any help appreciated!!

In Domain (ADS) other user acts as a dump user.
They do not have rights.
they are just to request service from server.
Admin have full right only they can access or work it on.
But for your personal account you can put it in Administrator group for having full right or for accessing.
If everyone can access then there will be no difference in admin and user.

Using Outlook 2003, I keep getting a message: cannot find/open the smtp server. How can I fix this?

Question by c_j_williamson: Using Outlook 2003, I keep getting a message: cannot find/open the smtp server. How can I fix this?
I can receive email fine. I can send email only by logging onto Yahoo.com and then using the mail function. MS Outlook 2003 cannot find the smtp server, or the server doesn’t respond, or the server times out. What can I do to fix this?

Contact your ISP and they should be able to walk you through on how to change your outgoing smtp server address.

Why do emails I send from Outlook 2003 on POP/SMTP get sent to other’s bulk or junk mail folders?

Question by jodimode: Why do emails I send from Outlook 2003 on POP/SMTP get sent to other’s bulk or junk mail folders?
Recently friends are telling me that the emails I send them are getting lost in their junk or bulk folders. I am sending out emails from Outlook 2003 across internal POP/SMTP server – and those recieving the emails are both internal office emails and external company STMP or even yahoo. What can I check in my Outlook settings to ensure emails arrive in their Inbox? My pysche can only handle so much ignoration.

In order to use a separate email program, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird, with Yahoo Mail you need to pay for Yahoo Mail Plus. When you do you can set the servers as follows:
Incoming (pop3) – pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing (smtp) – smtp.mail.yahoo.com.

As an alternative there is an add on called YPOPS that you can download and try.
